Ich Bin Warm!” (I am warm). Well yes, you can probably expect to be a little warm come April 5th on our sweaty dance floor. What you probably don’t know is that “warm” is old school slang for “gay” in German. “Warmer Bruder” (warm brother) was a derogatory term, now somewhat dated, for gay men. Now used in more of a tongue-in-cheek kind of way between gay men to refer to themselves; kind of like how we say “Nancy Boy” to our friends. “Warmer Bruder” originated from a famous Weimar-era Berlin sex researcher Magnus Hirschfeld, who believed that gay men had slightly warmer skin temperature than straight men. All of that to say, bring on the sweat and bring on the slightly warmer body temperatures because ich bin warm my super human freaks.

Theme is what you’d wear to enter Berghain/ sunglasses at night/ edgy accessories. However, if you don’t want to dress up, don’t let that deter you from coming out and dancing the night away with us.

This is a grungy basement queer/gay dance party happening from 10pm-2am @villagestudioslife ; complete with coat check, bar service till 2 AM, a play space 😈, djs, gogos, hosts, a dance floor, and rest areas. *A firm reminder that this is a safe space and any queer/trans/homo-phobia or racism will not be tolerated.*
